Ishan Kishan, the captain of Indian U-19 Cricket team

Profile of Ishan Kishan
Ishan was born on 18th July, 1998 in Patna. His father Mr. Pranav Kumar Pandey is a businessman in Patna. He was deeply interested in Cricket and showing great performance.

Ishan’s elder brother and Coach Uttam Majumdar convinced his father to send him Ranchi so that he can play for Jharkhand. There was no hope of him being selected if he continued to play in Bihar.

Ishan was sent to Ranchi in 2013 when he was only 15. It took no time for him to get recognition and soon he was selected for Jharkhand Ranji Team. His performance in the domestic cricket was quite fascinating and Rahul Dravid was quite impressed with his batting against Saurashtra.

As a matter of fact, Ishan Kishan is a Left Handed opening batsman and wicket keeper. It is because of this fact that people are seeing a glimpse of Dhoni and Gilchrist in him.
In December 2015 Ishan was named as the captain of Under-19 world cup team of India.
